Whistleblowing Policy
Whistleblowing is the reporting of misconduct by another person within an organisation.
As a childminder I have lots of contact with other local childminders, and other childcare professionals. It is my responsibility to raise concerns about the conduct of other childminders and child care professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of children. I will take the necessary steps to keep all children (whether in my care or outside of my care) safe and well and act upon any concerns accordingly.
It is also the responsibility of other childminders and professionals to report any concerns regarding my conduct or that of other childminders, or childcare professionals.
Unacceptable behaviour may include (but is not limited to):
If I have concerns I will report them to my Area Safeguarding Adviser:
Robyn Windibank- Office: 03000 412284 Mobile: 07540 677200 [email protected]
Whistleblowing is different to making a complaint. Please see my Complaint Policy.
If a Parent/ carer does not feel that they can discuss any concerns with me they should contact Ofsted on 0300 123 1231.
